Prosthesis applications are aesthetic dentistry applications performed to repair and complete the missing or broken teeth due to various reasons. It is generally examined in two parts. Fixed prostheses and removable prostheses…
It is a form of prosthesis applied in cases where there is a large number of tooth deficiencies in the mouth. The patient can insert and remove the prosthesis himself.
In the procedures that need to be corrected aesthetically or incompletely in the patient, it is either by using the patient’s own teeth present in the mouth or by performing implant applications in place of the missing teeth.
The patient cannot remove the prosthesis from the mouth himself.
Fixed prostheses are made either by using metal-supported porcelain or by using an aesthetic porcelain called zirconium.
In patients with high aesthetic expectations, the use of zirconium porcelain instead of traditional metal-supported porcelain systems is preferred because it provides a more natural appearance.
In classical porcelain veneers, the metal substructure gives an opaque appearance to the teeth. Since this creates a lifeless and artificial appearance in the teeth, zirconium porcelains compensate this negativity.
Since zirconium is not a metal in porcelain, it prevents metal allergy and does not create bad metal taste and smell in the mouth.
When they are checked regularly, they can be used in the mouth for a long time.
